The baby/child's hand or foot is placed in the creamy moulding material for approximately 2 minutes. It doesn't matter too much if he/she moves during the process – we're used to dealing with wriggly children.
Once the mould is set, the hand/foot is gently eased out.
After that, the baby/child is then cleaned up of all traces of moulding material and the moulding process is over- simple!

For larger casts, the process is much the same but the moulding process takes longer. A different, slower setting, moulding material is used and held rigid by plaster bandages (as shown).
Once the bandages are set, the mould is gently eased off, the model cleaned and the casting process is then finished at our Henley-on-Thames workshop.
